What Does My Blood Test Report Indicate?

Question: I recently had bloodwork done for a life insurance renewal. So it may have included more than just typical levels checked. I am a 59 year old female on 20 mg simvistatin and 5 - 10 mg of losinipril (zocor) daily. Should I be worried about the following results that were not normal?
Glucose 66 (low) expected range 70-109
Overall cholesterol 229
VLDL 50 (high) expected range 5-40
Triglycerides 253 (high) expected range 10-200
Carcinoembyonic Antigen (CEA) 4.1 (high) expected range 0 - 3.0
THE CEA RESULT CONCERNS ME... MY FATHER HAD ADRENAL GLAND CANCER IN HIS MID 40'S. What should I do to follow up? Would a body scan be over reacting?

Brief Answer:
Monitor this value after 3months!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about these abnormal findings. Your blood lipids are not the best and need serious treatment. Exercise regularly and reduce fat consumption. If this fails to address the lipids, then seek medications such as statins for further management.
CEA to me is more of an incidental finding. Monitor and control after 3months. Unless it remains high, there is no need for aggressive medical intervention at this time.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
