Brief Answer:
Your AST and ALT levels are not significantly increased

Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) are liver enzymes and they are tested to know the liver function and abnormalities involving organs in which it is found. It is used to know liver function in various disease conditions and when a person is being treated with some medicines.

2. The normal range of AST is between 10 to 40 units per liter and ALT between 7 to 56 units per liter.

3. It is said to be significantly increased only if the values are over 2 to 3 times the normal. Your values are slightly increased and do not necessarily show any problem. It can be accepted as upper limit of normal and there is no serious problem.

Hope your query is answered.
