What Does My Blood Test Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Mon, 20 Mar 2017
Question: Im an 18 year old female (5'8, 124lbs) that recently had abnormal blood work. Lymphocyte - 1080, WBC - 3.7, and low vitamin D. Over the past month I've had moderate to severe fatigue, weakness, some dizzyness, and hormonal changes. Additionally, this blood work was taken as I was getting over a bad cold (no fever, cough, congestion).

My mother has a history of autoimmune diseases (lupus, addisons, etc), and my aunt died of Hodgkins Lymphoma. I'm extremely worried and looking for an opinion?

Brief Answer:
It may be due to infection. Nothing to worry.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

Your wbc count is slightly low and total lymphocytes count is slightly low. But it does not seems to be serious or worrisome. It can be due to some viral infection. Your all other reports are normal. So don't worry about leukemia or lymphoma.

Your vitamin D level is low for that you should take a course of vitamin D supplements. XXXXXXX 60K can be taken for that. It is prescription based medicine so consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.

Otherwise your all reports are normal and nothing to worry.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic.
Wish you a very good health.
