What Does My Blood Test Report Indicate?
not a significant increase
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
The reference range/normal range for sodium at most labs is 135 to 145 and 98 to 106 for chloride.
It is possible that the ranges for your lab may vary slightly from these.
Your values are only slightly above the normal range and not significantly elevated. There are different possible reasons for elevated values but one of the most common is not using enough fluids or fluid loss (eg diarrhea, vomiting, excess sweating or kidneys not retaining enough water)
If there is decreased fluids in the body, the levels of sodium and chloride become concentrated and appear to be higher
As mentioned, the increase is not significant, you can try to increase fluid intake and see if this helps
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
