Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in details.
Having seen your attached reports, it looks like you have the following
(i) TSH is 0.01 μIU/mL is low
(ii) T3 is 1.86 ng/mL is slightly above normal
(iii) T4 is 10.70 µg/dL is at upper limits of normal
In the above mentioned results the TSH is low and this is the one which stimulates thyroid gland to generate T3 and T 4 hormones which are at upper limits of normal.
THYROWEL soft-gelatin capsule contains
Elemental iron 30 mg,
folic acid 300 mcg,
vitamin B12 1 mcg,
l-tyrosine 250 mg,
Elemental selenium 60 mcg,
Elemental zinc 15 mg
The medication is essentially a supplement and is given to correct the TSH and thyroid functions and make it normal. Please continue taking it as prescribed and follow up with your doctors regularly.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Thank you very much for the detailed answer.I have one more question.
My doctor has checked blood pressure and it is 80/140.Asked to use Beta cap tr 40.
Could you please let me know if my blood pressure is higher than normal due to low TSH and High T3/T4 ?Also, please let me is it necessary to use Beta cap at this moment?
Please find details below
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
Betacap TR 40 contains propranolol which has many uses including high blood pressure, raised thyroid hormones and anxiety. It is possible that your doctor has given Betacap TR 40 for raised thyroid hormones and anxiety. This use is justified after clinical examination.
Betacap TR 40 might not have been given for your blood pressure. Hoping that you have confirmed your high blood pressure status after getting clinical examination done. High blood pressure is diagnosed if a person has a persistent high blood pressure recording of more than 140/ 90 mm Hg when recorded on 3 consecutive days at the same time and in the same position after taking 30 minutes of physical and mental rest. If you have doubts then I suggest you please get your blood pressure measured following above guidelines so that there are no mistakes.
Since you have written blood pressure as 80/ 140 mm Hg and since we write the higher value first, I have taken it as 140/ 80 mm Hg. Even considering 140/ 80 mm Hg, I do not feel it is high enough to require medications and diet changes can help.
High blood pressure is related to low thyroid hormones and this is not there in your case.
Since the Betacap TR 40 might be for raised thyroid hormones and anxiety therefore there might be a need to take it.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Thank you very much for your detailed answers.I have below two last questions on this topic.
1) Is it must to use Betacap 40 at this moment or it is ok to use Thyrowel capsules for a period of 1-2 months and see if there is a progress? I am worried that using Betacap TR 40 may affect my pressure over the period of time and I may have to continue the medicine to keep blood pressure under control.I undertsand that doctor might have given this medicine for thyroid but as the medicine is also working on Blood pressure,I am thinking I will use only if this medicine is mandatory at this moment.
2) Based on my current TSH,T3 and T4 -Is it a serious problem to have too low TSH ? Can this be completly treated? Please let me know.Thank you.
Regards.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
Your questions are important and I have tried to explain to the best of my knowledge below
1. I am only seeing your reports and your doctor might have examined you completely before suggesting Betacap TR 40 and Thyrowel. It is necessary to take these at least for few months and see the results. I understand your concern about the side effects of Betacap TR 40. However in adults, side effects are seen only in overdosage. The only situations where the patient must be careful while taking Betacap TR 40 is if they have liver disorders, diabetes, heart rhythm disorders and allergies to other substances. However if you have any doubts, please take another opinion from a cardiologist to make sure you do not have any increased risks. If you ask my personal opinion then I will get an ECG done for you and tell you to look out for any side effects like dizziness. Otherwise there is no serious problem in taking Betacap TR and I have come across many patients taking it for anxiety, blood pressure and thyroid problems without side effects.
2. Having low TSH for a long time needs to be treated slowly. It can cause serious problems in future if thyroid hormones rise to dangerous levels. It can be treated completely in most people and treatment depends on repeating thyroid tests regularly and striking a balance of TSH and the thyroid hormones.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
