Brief Answer:
potassium levels are normal.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Your mothers potassium levels of 5.18 are in borderline high range only. i dont think it is a matter of concern requiring any extra treatment at present.

But definitely she has to repeat the sodium, potassium levels and if they are again greater than 5.0 she should take some precautions-

1. avoid juices and fruits with juice.
2 avoid jaggary,
3 avoid any special salts like TATALITE or LOW SODIUM salt as they have added potassium.

best wishes.
