Few risk factors...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
In simple terms, the brain scan revealed areas of hypoperfusion which is reduced blood supply. Parietal area of the brain on the right side and left perisylvian regions are affected by this subtle reduced blood flow. This is a sudden event and perhaps was responsible for the transient fainting episode.
Now the precise reason why this happened to him/her is now known. However usually there are a few risk factors. Neurologist screen for those risk factors using tests. Blood sugar, blood pressure, homocysteine and cholesterol disturbance along with basic heart function assessment + carotid artery blood flow need to be assessed. This screening should be performed in a sequential manner. Your local doctor / neurologist will know about what I am talking about. Please plan the tests accordingly.
That being said, transient disturbance such as this one is not serious; however it can turn into a serious concern if not addressed early.
Hope this is clear. Let me know if you need clarifications.
