What Does My Chest X-ray Report Indicate?
could be heart failure/infection/clots
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
Fluid in the lungs can be caused by many things. It can be caused by cancer or blood clots in the lungs. It can also be caused by infections such as pneumonia or tuberculosis. Another possibility is heart failure. Heart failure is a condition in which the heart is not pumping adequately so the fluid sort of backs up in the lungs causing what is called pulmonary edema. Any condition that causes fluid in the lungs will result in shortness of breath because when the air spaces in the lungs fill up with fluid, then there is not adequate oxygen exchange and you feel short of breath.
I hope you find the cause and get treatment soon.
Thank you for using HCM.
