What Does My Chest X-ray Report Indicate?
CT scan of thorax is needed to differentiate the lesions.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX
Your chest X-ray suggests bulky(enlarged) right hilum. It may be due to many reasons like enlarged lymph nodes, vascular structure like enlarged pulmonary artery etc.
Its exact nature can be assessed by contrast CT scan of thorax.Vascular structure like artery will be filled with contrast whereas lymph nodes may show slight enhancement. In this way,we can differentiate the lesions.
It is also important to know your clinical details, age and its correlation.
With these findings,I suggest my patients to go for contrast CT scan for thorax.
Treatment depend upon findings.
