default
Posted on Fri, 28 Aug 2015
Question: based on colonscopy report, my gastro doc has confirmed TB. report says
rectum - multiple ulcers
sigmoid colon - normal
transverse colon - normal
ascending colon - normal
IC valve - edematous ulcerated valve
cecum - normal
terminal iieum - multiple ulcers are seen.

Biopsy report yet to be received but doctors says that 90-95% it is TB and has started my medication.
AKT4, Nexpro Fast 40 before BF, Bon DK 60K once in a week and Vit B6 once daily.

Today was my first day and after taking medicine am feeling pukish and lethargic.

Pls advise.

Brief Answer:
Side effects are drug related and will subside on their own.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,

I understand your concern.

You are possibly made the right diagnosis and offered right treatment.

The side effects in your case are directly related to AKT 4.

But this is a very good drug against Ileocaecal TB.

Simple side effects does not warrant its withdrawal.

These side effects will gradually subside in the due course of time.

Hence you need not worry of them.

Review with biopsy report.

Post your further queries if any.

Thank you.
