Question: Kindly opine on 59/M Echo report. Please let us know future complications, treatment, whether surgery required or not, frequency of hospitalization.

This is only copy of ECHO we have received.
I do not have any symptoms such as chest pain etc.
I do not have any habits, Diabetes, BP etc. Not taking any medicine.

Its important to know how much is the degree of MITRAL VALVE REGURGITATION in order to predict the severity of disease. However if you dont have the detailed ECHO report then my opinion would be on general basis.
Complication include Development of rhythm abnormality like AF, Congestive Cardiac Failure on a later stage, Stroke due to Uncontrolled AF.
Treatment will be medical unless prolapse and regurgitation become severe of LV function deteriorates.
No hospitalizations as of now.
