What Does My Fasting Glucose Level Indicate?
Please see the details
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and I am happy to interpret your results.
Your fasting blood glucose is above the normal but not high enough for a diagnosis of diabetes. You are in a pre diabetes state known as IFG (Impaired Fasting Glucose ). Large studies have shown that your progression to diabetes can be prevented / retarded by reducing your calorie intake, losing weight if you are over weight and exercising at least 30 minutes a day.
Your HDL (Good Cholesterol ) is low.
This can be improved with exercise, consumption of food rich in monounsaturated fats like nuts (walnut, Almond ). Consumption of one or two drinks of red wine may also help raise the HDL.
ALT of 78 indicates that there may be some inflammation of the liver.
Please do a complete liver function test and upload the same. Also please let me know your height and weight, whether you had jaundice or any viral infection and whether you drink alcohol.
Have you had an abdominal ultrasound examination? If so please upload the report.
Best wishes,
Obesity and may be the cause of raised ALT
Detailed Answer:
Your BMI ( Body Mass Index ) is 31.9 which means obesity. With obesity you may have a fatty liver on the abdominal ultrasound examination.
This means an inflammation of the liver.
I shall be happy to interpret your future test results.
