Brief Answer:
Chances of recurrence are there
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
I have reviewed the histopathological report.
Since this report mentions two para aortic nodes positive for metastasis, therefore chances of spread and recurrence are there.
She should receive further chemotherapy to reduce the chances of recurrence.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Thanks.
Could you please also clarify if the spread is possible through the lymphatic system or does it spread around the infected nodes only.
Also, the report mentions some tumor cells. Is that a cause for concern? Can there be tumors elsewhere due to the ones detected?
Given the details mentioned in the report, would it be prudent to go for a PET CT Scan now. We havent done this scan before. The doctor has relied only on CT scans for the treatment.
Please advice.

Brief Answer:
Spread through lymphatic system
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
Spread is through lymph system, and it can spread to other nodes and organs.
Tumour cells are present in the ovarian cancer.
There is nothing to worry.
PET scan should be done to assess the spread of
cancer, so that further management can be decided.
