What Does My Lab Test Report Indicate?
Question: Hi,
I am a 34 year old female with no history of any medical issues.
A general medical health check report showed
1. my thyroid T3 & T4 levels at 0.93 & 5.11, respectively.. any concerns here ? whats the reason for this
2. My absolute monocyte count shows at 170.. any reason for this to be out of the normal range of 200-1000

Brief Answer:
Likely we need a second opinion
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX, hi! this is dr. XXXXXXX here. welcome to HCM.
As of your queries, i will pick up the second part first.
See , i have gone through your lab reports. Monocytes are normal. A below reference range monocytes is not something to worry.
second part, low t3 & t4 with a normal TSH at your age are unusual.
probabilities are
1. lab error
2. lab error
3. lab error
4. we may think of pituitary problem.
so first confirm your reports by another good lab and this time please check FT4 and TSH.
do get back to me with fresh report.
regards!
