Question: I have triple neg breast cancer stage 1a received my 2nd treatment of cytotoxin and taxetere as prevention for reoccurrence. My labs noted slight anisocytosis few stomatocytes. I am concerned since I do have a history of anemia since childhood not sure if I carry the trait for cooley's anemia. Should I continue chemo? I am concerned about developing MDS.

Brief Answer:
Hello dear. You must continue chemotherapy

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. So a triple negative breast cancer patient must continue the chemo as its the worst form breast cancer. Anisocytosis and stomatocytosis can be seen in iron deficiency anemia as well and you should not worry. Even if you have, cooleys anemia, you should continue chemo as there is no link between cooleys and mds.
Relax.
Thanks and regards
