What Does My Lab Test Report Indicate?

Question: Hallo Doctor,
My new born female baby 12 days old . Recently we took T3,T4and TSH test and result is T3=94, T4=9.8 and TSH=0.93 and report suggesting to Thyronormalcy. Is it normal?
And also she suffered from Jaundice.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns.

The thyroid levels are normal and nothing to be concerned about.

Before the birth the baby has a hemoglobin level higher than the mother so that it can extract oxygen from the mother 's blood. This extra hemoglobin is no longer needed afterbirth and breaks down to produces bilirubin. The acceptable range varies with day of life and weight in kg. Physiological jaundice is nothing to be concerned about.
