Brief Answer:
The condition seems serious.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HealthcareMagic.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

At the L4-L5 level, the report states that the stenosis (or narrowing of the spinal cord) is severe, that means that the condition is severe too.

Degenerative changes also contribute in a certain degree of the severity of your condition.

However, besides imaging studies results, the severity of one condition such as spinal cord stenosis is evaluated by the severity of the symptoms too. So, if you experience moderate to severe symptoms, in my opinion, you should be evaluated for decompressive surgery.

If mild symptoms then follow up and physiotherapy together with painkiller drugs may be used first.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
