Detailed answer,...
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
Your liver enzymes, specially SGPT is really high.
There are various reasons for high SGPT levels and one should definitely try to find the basic cause.
Most common causes for high SGPT are ....
Frequent and excessive use of alcohol
Taking high fatty diet
Being obese and diabetic
Frequent use of pain killers and herbal medicines
Consuming more of fast foods like pizzas burgers, colas etc.
Less common but other important reasons can be...
Being infected with hepatitis B or C
Chholecystitis ,gall stones etc
What to do.....
Do get tested for hepatitis markers and get an ultrasound abdomen done.
Do regular exercises for atleast 45 minutes a day and shed your weight
Quit alcohol, fast foods, high fatty diet and colas
Avoid saturated fats
Consume more of fresh fruits, green vegetables and nuts
avoid pain killers and herbal medications
Drink plenty of water.
With these lifestyle changes, you would be all right in 4-6 months.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
actually i am overweight. my age is 18(male), weight-81, height-5'10
I will surely perform the exercise & follow the diet plan above mentioned by u sir.
So, if it is because of obesity..Should i continue to take Liv.52? or please advice any other medicine or syrup which can be helpful.
should i leave eating chapatis also?
And my last question, Sir, you have seen that attached report..is there any chances of jaundice also?
Basically there is no medicine for high liver enzymes.
As far as LIV 52 is concerned,it doesn't have much role.
It won't make any difference whether you take it or not.
I have already seen your reports and there is no sign or any chance of any jaundice in it.
No need for stopping chappatis. You may restrict their quantity to just one and half to 2 at a time.
Thanks
Now my last follow up question - As I have liver problems, should I cut my protein from diet?
Which things should be avoided as of high proteins?
Thanks Sir..
There is no need to cut down on your protein intake.
Thanks
