What Does My Liver Test Report Indicate?
Question: I have IPF and take "Esbriet " which requires a liver test every 3 months. The last test had "protein, total 5.9 Low", is this a problem? Thank you. XXXXXXX Schade, " YYYY@YYYY "
Brief Answer:
Not a major problem.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Embriet is having perfinodone.
It can cause mild elevation of liver enzymes.
But it has no effect on synthetic functions of liver like protein synthesis.
You are having slightly lower protein level.
No need to worry much for this.
You might have decreased appetite and hence decreased oral intake. This might be the reason for low protein.
You can take high protein diet like pulses, protein powder etc to raise your protein level.
So don't worry for this.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
