Brief Answer:
He has severe low sperm count!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It is true that conceiving with this report would be an uphill task. The min problem is the number of sperms per unit volume which is very very low at 1.6million and normal is above 20million. The best way to approach this would be by using a in vitro fertilization techniques. Without which, it would be vey difficult to accomplish this task.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Will dr perform ivf on an obese woman?
Will dr perform ivf on an obese woman?
Brief Answer:
More testng is required!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
More testing is required. In some cases, yes and in other case, the sperm count cannot be increased. If he wants to try increasing them he should talk to his doctor. However the severity of the low sperm makes this option of increasing the number every low. Since it his been ages also, repeating would offer a clearer and more current evaluation.
Yes, an obese woman can receive IVF. However, the final decision depends on the doctor executing this task. Talk to your fertility specialist and hear what he says.

Thank you,
would the time between when the sample was given have an effect on the low sperm? or would that just show them as being dead?
As in, he gave the sample at home, it was a little more than 2 hours from the time he ejaculated to the time it was tested. Is there a difference between dead sperm and low sperm?

Brief Answer:
It would no reduce the count!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The time would not reduce the count. It may affect other parameters like motility but not the absolute count as it would still be seen and counted. They would have recorded a g=high count but low vitality if that were the case.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to request for more information if need be.
