What Does My Semen Analysis Report Indicate?
Question: My first Semen Analysis result came yesterday and is as attached. Would like to know your opinion and what should I be doing next? Any medication to suggest? I am worried.
Brief Answer:
examination required
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I saw your semen analysis report.
You have low sperm count and motility.
Before takijg medicines you need to get examined by an urologist to check if there are any problems like varicocele etc which is causing this problem.
Only way to have children with such low count is by ICSI ( Intracytoplasmic sperm injection) procedure.

I have a few questions.
1. Would medicines help?
2. If it is Varicocele, even then would medicines help?
3. Irrespective of what it is, is ICSI the only way out to have children?I mean, would medicines or surgery for Varicocele help having children normally?

Brief Answer:
Repeat semen analysis after 3 months of treatment
Detailed Answer:
Hi
1. Medicines are unlikely to help. But can only be decided after examination.
2. Varicocele if present needs to be operated and medicines wont help in that case.
3. You have repeat semen analysis after 3 months of starting medicines or surgery for varicocele. Only then decision can be taken about improvement of treatment and subsequent step.
4. If there is no improvement after 3 months it is better to go for ICSI as natural pregnancy may not be possible with such low count and motility
