What Does My Semen Analysis Report Suggest?
Question: Hello Sir ,These are my Semen Alaysis.Please let me know if this is ok or is there any thing for me to worry about.Volume - 1ml,ColourpGreyish White,Liquefaction time - 45 min,Reaction - (ph) - Alkaline 8.0, Fructose- Present.Motility at one hour - Active -40%,Sluggish-35% Non-Motile -25%, Pus Cells-6-8/hpf,Epithelial cells- 1-2/hpf, Morphology -Normal -75%,Abnormal-25%, Sperm Number - Sperm Concentration -20mill/ml, Total sperm count -20 mill/ejaculate,Impression - Normozoospermia.Please suggest if there is something which i really need to worry about.Willi ever father a child.

1. Your semen count and morphology are excellent.
2. You have some pus cells which suggest some minor infection.
3. Probably this has reduced semen motility.
4. Give semen for culture and sensitivity test.
5. This will test organism infecting and the tablets required for the same.
6. Meanwhile get your wife also examined for infertility.

Thank you for the reply.Thyroid test and Ultrasound Pelvis test has been performed for my wife.Below are the results of Ultrasound Pelvis.
Urinary Bladder - Well distended with normal wall thickness and echofree contents.
Uterus-
Retroflexed in size.
Myometrical and sndometrical is normal.
Uterus measures :6.4*4.0*3.7cms
Endometrical thickness is 6mm
Ovaries-
Both ovaries are mormal in size and echopattern.
Right ovary measures 2.9*2.7*1.6cms(vol-6.8cc)
Dominant follicle noted in right ovary meassuring 1.3*1,0 cms'left ovary measures 2.7*2.5*3.1 cms(vol-7.1)
No Adnexal masses seen : No fluid seen in pouch of XXXXXXX
Impression - No Sonographic abnormality detected.
