What Does My Semen Analysis Test Report Indicate?
Question: Me and my wife are married for 3 years now and trying to conceive for the last 10 months.
I did a Semen analysis yesterday and below are the results
Volume: 2.5 ml
Colour: Grey white
Ph: 7.3
Viscosity: Normal
Liquefaction: 30min
Sperm Count: 99 million/ml
Morphology: 33%
Actively Motile: 34%
Sluggishly Motile: 29%
Inplace Motile: 26%
Non motile: 11%
Pus Cells: 2-3 /hpf
Epithelial cells: 1-2 /hpf
I was told at the lab that the sperm motility is low - should be greater than 50%.
I was prescribed Maxoza -L and Oligocare Forte twice a day for 3 months.
Is my actively motile sperm (34%) so low, that we cannot naturally conceive without taking the prescriptions and improving the motality?
Is treatment like IUI IVF ICSI necessary for us?
My wife was requested to do various scanning and we are awaiting results on that. Just wanted to understand my semen analysis better and to know if it is a cause for concern?
I used to drink and smoke, but has quit 2 months back.
Also exercising regularly now.
Also let me know if there are any side effects for the prescribed tablets?

1) Your semen analysis is normal.You don't need any medicines.
2) Rapid and sluggish motility together should be more than 50% which is 63% in your report which normal.
3) other parameters are also excellent and you don't need to take maxoza or any other medicines though there aren't considerable side effects.
4) You can easily father a child with this report. You don't need IUI or IVF.
5) Please get HSG test done for wife to know fallopian tube potency.
6) Let her lose weight if she is overweight.
