Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX and welcome to HCM.
Your concern is understandable.
The semen analysis shows normal sperm count and density. The motility or live sperms movement is sub-optimal at 40%. It should be more than 50-60%.
It also shows infection. This can be treated by a course of antibiotics.
Hope this semen sample is tested after 2 days abstinence.(no sex).
Remember, that one more semen analysis must be checked in 3-4 weeks time.
In the mean time, get a scrotal ultrasound scan with doppler.
Blood hormone analysis like s.FSH,LH,PRL, testerone and sugar should be assessed. See your doctor with all reports.
As an Urologist, let me advise you to exercise regularly and take fat free foods.
You are welcome to contact me with repeat semen analysis and other reports.
Wish you well.
