What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

I had an US of Pelvis & Transvag on 1/5/17.
Hyperechoic fundal myometrial mass measure 0.54x0.88x0.40cm possibly a small fibroid.
Uterus 7.3x5.7x3.5cm
Endometrial thickness 5.6mm
Right ovary is normal size & appearance
Right Ovary 1.7 x 2.3 x 1.4cm
Left Ovary is anechoic avascular area measures 3.5 x 3.8 x 4.5 cm
Blood flow is present with ovary on color Doppler
Left ovary: 5.0 x 4.8 x 5.1 cm
Cul de sac unremarkable no significant free fluid
What does this mean? I am so worried!
Simple cyst in left ovary.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Your ultrasound scan report suggests that there is a small fibroid in the uterus in the fundal area that is more likely to be a harmless benign myoma.
The left ovary shows an avascular anechoic area suggestive of a simple cyst. This is also a harmless benign swelling and can regress on its own with normal 3-4 menstrual cycles. It is best to monitor the size of the cyst on follow up ultrasound scan after 4-6 months.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
