Question: Hello, today I had a pelvic ultrasound performed. My doctor ask me to have done because I was complaining of pelvic and lower back pain, I'm having a hard time holding when i need to go to the bathroom for # 1 and my lower abdomen was hurting and I felt like my belly was growing The result of the impression for my pelvic ultrasound is as follows:
FINDINGS
The uterus measures 11.1 x 10.3 x 6.5 cm. There is a large subserosal leiomyoma posteriorly on the right,
approximating 8.3 x 7.9 x 8.9 cm. The endometrial stripe thickness is top-normal at 1.5 cm. It demonstrates
a localized hypoechoic fundal lesion, approximating 1.1 x 1.1 x 1.3 cm. Differential includes pedunculated
submucosal leiomyoma, endometrial polyp, and carcinoma.

There is small amount of fluid in the cervical canal.

Both ovaries demonstrate presence of vascular flow upon Doppler interrogation.

The right ovary measures 3.4 x 1.8 x 3.1 cm. It demonstrates an ill-defined heterogeneous lesion,
approximating 1.7 x 1.4 x 1.7 cm. It demonstrates presence of some internal vascularity upon Doppler
interrogation. It is questioned whether this represents an involuting corpus luteal cyst. Recommend
follow-up ultrasound in approximately 6 weeks.

The left ovary measures 3.3 x 2.1 x 1.9 cm. It is unremarkable with few small follicles.

There is small free fluid in the pelvis.

IMPRESSION

My question is ....is as bad as it sounds..? Is it possible that i have a cancerous tumor along with other issues? Please help. My doctors appointment is in a month and I'm very scared

Brief Answer:
Not related to cancer.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

The ultrasound scan report suggests a large fibroid in the uterus. This can cause pressure to the bladder causing you difficulty in holding urine. A small another fibroid and cyst in ovary are all benign findings and are not worrisome.

There is nothing serious and all these are benign lesions. In case it is causing symptoms then the fibroid can be removed surgically. It is not likely related to cancer.

Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow-up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Regards.
