What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

Question: Hi I I am 29 years old non-smoker non-drinker pretty healthy lifestyle. About two months ago I noticed a larger lymph node on the right side of my neck which I had checked out the doctor said it could be anything but for my reassurance ordered me an ultrasound and a complete blood count blood count came back normal ultrasound stated
“Grayscale and color Doppler imaging Of the Palpable abnormallty in the right side of neck Shows a mild prominent Lymph node measuring 3.0x 0.7 x 1.0 cm. The lymph node demonstrates a fatty hilum.”
We thought the lymph node could have been from a cold I had prior to this enlargement but 8 weeks later and I can feel it again. I have had pain in my wisdom tooth on the right side and on the roof of my mouth is a tiny hard lump under my skin, Not sure if this is from my wisdom tooth pain or not but that is the only symptom I have been Experiencing. (I am also very slender so things are easier to feel) I am concerd about cancer, should I be concerned?!

Brief Answer:
Secondary to jaw issue not cancer.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query thoroughly .
* This lymph node is secondary to the issue involving wisdom tooth as it is
common for drainage area lymph nodes to get swelled during acute phase of
infection .
* This does not indicate to be of cancer , you should not get panic for that part .
* Proper treatment of basic condition with antibiotics , anti inflammatory agents
help to reduce the size of lymph node also .
Hope this will help you .
Welcome for further assistance .
Regards .

Brief Answer:
follow up .
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear
Welcome for the follow up .
* As per previous discussion , the node resolves once the basic condition causing
it gets resolution .
* So that depends upon your basic immune response of the body to the causative
agent giving lymph node resolution .
* In acute phase of infection as severe congestion , cold , cough they get bigger ;
once infection is subsiding the lymph nodes gradually resolve but it takes
time to resolve completely .
Hope this makes it more clear .
Wishing you fine health ahead .
