Brief Answer:
Follow the guidelines suggested below .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .

Ultrasound Scanning of KUB of your 72 years old has revealed to be 91 Gms and PSA of 5.19 (Normal higher range being 4).

Enlarged Prostate (91Gms) is common at this age however PSA which is slightly higher than normal could be either due to Enlarged Prostate or Cancer of the prostate .

Raised PSA above normal values is always suspected to be due to Cancer of the Prostate unless proved otherwise by doing a Biopsy of the Prostate .However single reading of raised PSA is not an indication for doing Prostate Biopsy .It is a persistent raising PSA on doing blood tests twice or thrice over a interval of 2-3 weeks that demands doing biopsy.

I would suggest you to give him following treatment for 2 weeks before deciding about doing prostate biopsy
1) Tab Cefixime twice daily
2) Tab Tomsulosin once daily
3) Tab Nitrofurantoin twice daily .

Repeat PSA after 2-3 weeks and if it is persistently above 4 take a decision for doing Prostate biopsy .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
