Question: Hi, i m 60 yr old male. My sugar is in control i take Voglitor MF 0.2 twice with meals.i have slight BPH for which i take SILOCAP D 8MG once at night.my ultrsound was normal which i m enclosing.flow of urine is also normal when slight burning is there i take flavospas tab.but i feel like going to washroom many times.now what should i do pl guide me . Because after 10 days i m going abroad. XXXXX

Noted your concern.

Frequent urination in such scenario may be due to - Urinary infection - Diabetes & BHP both are risk factors for urinary infection.
- Uncontrolled blood sugar levels which leads to osmotic diuresis causing frequent urination.

In such cases I may suggest following tests -
- Blood sugar levels - Fasting, Post-prandial, HbA1c.
If blood sugar levels under control then
- Complete blood count.
- Urine examination including Urine culture & sensitivity (sample collection with sterile technique)
- Renal function test.

Depending upon these test results appropriate treatment & further evaluation if required can be planned.
