What Does My Urinalysis Result Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Sat, 29 Apr 2017
Question: Symptoms started 36 hours after sex with my wife. Symptoms presented as pain at the end of the penis during urination. Urinalysis culture was negative but I am finishing the antibiotic they prescribed at urgent care. My primary doctor added Pyridium but it really hasn't helped. Througout the week the end of the penis has been irritable and itchy (on the inside) even when not urinating. Today I had sex with a condom with my wife and following there were two pimples on the foreskin. One is broken open and has clear fluid. I am diabetic with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. No new medications other than the antibiotic levofloxacin and Avo (Walgreens didn't have Pyridium and suggested OTC medication Avo). What is going on?

Brief Answer:
Looks like yeast infection, antifungal cream & antihistaminic

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic
According to your complaints it could be yeast infection which is very common in diabetics.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply antifungal like Clotrimazole cream on the affected areas twice daily for 10-14 days and take antihistaminic like tablet Cetrizine 10 mg once daily at bedtime for 7-10 days.
This should resolve your problem.

Dr Asmeet
