Brief Answer:
Essentially normal report; repeat urine analysis..

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for contacting us.

I went through the list of tests attached here. I found complete hemogram, urine routine, blood sugar with Hba1c test, urine nictoine assessment, lipid profile, HIV, HbsAg, ECG. All the reports except urine routine was essentially normal. Urine analysis revealed excessive pus cells about 22 - 25 cells. Such numbers are seen when some one has urinary tract infection. I assume your wife has no symptoms when the test was done. If yes, I will suggest you to repeat the urine routine analysis.

But if she had symptoms such as fever, increased urination or burning sensation while passing urine, the next step will be to get an urine culture sensitivity test performed.

Hope I have addressed your concerns. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Regards

Thanks doctore. My wife's got diabetes type 2 since the past couple of years and is on oral medication (Glycomet 850) that she takes 3 times a day. From her reports, how how would you consider her blood sugar control to be? Is there anything you think we should consider for a diabetologist review (eg. Reducing her medication dosage, etc)?

Brief Answer:
Excellent blood sugar value.

Detailed Answer:
Her blood sugar values are perfect. She seems to have succeeded in keeping blood sugars under excellent control. I wouldn't replace the drug or other lifestyle changes she is currently on unless those are troubling her.

In other words, if she is happy with glycomet (tolerating it well), there is no need to change it.

Regards
