Brief Answer:
These are within normal limits considering smoking history

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.

I read your query and reviewed your chest X ray.

According to available films there is not much to worry. These atelectic changes are result of smoking and can be reversed easily if you can stop smoking.

With smoking there is excessive mucus plug formation which results in blocking of smaller bronchioles in your chest.

As you must be knowing that if you remove the causative agent (smoking) many of the damages will be reversed and there will be no further damage to your lung.

Having said this, there is no evidence of malignancy in the provided film. In case there is any symptoms are there it will be better to seek a medical consultation with a local physician. He will do pulmonary function test or spirometry to determine the magnitude of the problem.

I like to assure you again that if you stop smoking you are safe and there is no need to be afraid.

Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for me, so that I get a good feedback.
