What Does Negative Blood Serum Beta HCG Despite Having Positive UPT Indicate?
TO CONFIRM OR RULE OUT PREGNANCY FIRST...explained
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
As your home pregnancy test was positive but your blood serum beta hcg test was negative , so there is unlikelihood that you may be pregnant. Though a repeat confirmation with a repeat serum beta hcg after 48 hrs , to check for any serial hcg rise in values ( which would indicate pregnancy) may be undertaken and also a transvaginal ultrasound pelvis to check for any intrauterine gestational sac to rule out pregnancy confirmatively.
If the test is negative then you should just safely wait for your menses to return naturally.
Thirdly you seem to be suffering from a UTI , considering increased frequency of urine and pain in lower abdomen and back and lethargy setting in, so get a urine culture test to isolate the organism and a course of antibiotics may be undertaken for the same.
