What Does Non Reactive Elisa Test Result Mean?
Question: I have tested Elisa and test result is non reactive 0.03. Wht does this mean? Is it negative or positive value? What are the chances it might go up and to reach border line? I was exposed 20 days bk
Again went with Tridot hiv1 & hiv2, result is non reactive. Also went with vrd
Im literally not knowing what does this means and scared for future result.
Is there any other test i should go with?
I have lost 10 kgs approx. Went also with sugar test and it was norml

Brief Answer:
Your test is negative
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Dear Mr
Your ELISA test is negative. 0.03 indicates very low titre of antibody.
Following exposure, there is serological window period( it is time taken for antibodies to form against virus). The window period ranges from 8 to 12 weeks. Any serological test like Tridot or ELISA which detects antibody will be negative in this period even if individual is infected. Negative test in your case does not rule out HIV infection.
It would be helpful if you could elaborate the details of exposure you had.
Awaiting your response

0.03 in low titre of antibody is good indication or bad?
On August 15th i have exposed, im almost near to window period of 4 weeks?
Exposure I had was protected but I suck my partner boobs and kissed her not deep smooch.
Partcipated for one pop with protected...
Blow job with protection
2 months back had participated with another partner with protected sex and blow job without protection.
What are the other tests which can detect in early stage?
When you suggest again to test?
THANKS!

Brief Answer:
Unlikely to transmit infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Greetings
Low titre is a good sign and there is no cause for concern.
It has been 28 days since your last exposure(4 weeks). The serological window period is of 8- 12 weeks.
Protected sex , sucking of breast and kiss is unlikely to transmit HIV infection. There is no cause for concern. Baseline negative test is very much reassuring. As you have indulged in safe sexual practise with appropriate use of condom , its unlikely to transmit infection . Practising monogamy still drastically reduces the risk of transmission.

Thanks! XXXXXXX for quick response...
As said before i hv undergone thru Tridot Hiv1 & Hiv2. Result was non reactive, they hav also provided bk my test equipment as per my request. On test kit, i saw one pink dot at control but not at hiv1 & hiv2.
My question is when tridot is tested, shud I worried abt the pink small dot displayed at control? Is there any chance Of moving in later stages of window period?
Please suggest!
THANKS!

Brief Answer:
The test is negative
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Dear Dude
Tridot( three dots). The first dot is control and other two dots for HIV 1 and 2.
The control dot has to be pink for the kit to be validated. If there is no pink dot in control then the kit has to be discarded and repeated with fresh kit.
So the interpretation of test is simple
1. Single pink dot(at control and other two dots no colour): Result is negative
2. No pink dot at control: The kit is defective
From the description given at present interpretation the test is negative for both HIV 1 and 2.
I hope i have cleared your doubt
