What Does Pain In Hips, Foot And Knee On One Side Of Body Suggest?

Question: I have recently been having hip pain as well as foot pain and knee pain all on same side of body. I went to the doctor and he ran some blood work of which was c reactive protein (normal) and my esr level which was normal as well( 1 to be exact) I was concerned about myeloma or perhaps cancer and autoimmune disorders such as lupus so when the doctor said my esr would likely be high if I had these diseases it put my mind at ease a bit that it was normal . But now I remembered I forgot to tell him that I think I took some naproxens for a few days before the test. Now im thinking the naproxens affected my results and im anxious all over again. Do you think naproxen would affect my levels that much as to affect a true reading.
Brief Answer:
NO!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about pain and all the inconvenience that this has caused you. An ESR of 1 cannot be explained by taking naproxene. Even if it were high and you are taking the most potent drugs for the condition, it will rarely come to a value of 1. Be relaxed, at your age, multiple myeloma is far fetched and Lupus doesn’t primarily manifests with pain.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
