What Does Periods After Unprotected Sex Suggest?
Question: Hi, I had unprotected sex with a girl and ejaculated inside of her. She was not on any contraception and did not take any morning after pill. She has since had a normal period about 2 weeks later. Does that mean she is not pregnant?
Brief Answer:
Yes. It means that she is not pregnant.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.
If she has had normal period in all probability she is
Implantation /breakthrough bleeding of pregnancy also can sometimes cause period like bleeding. However This bleeding usually is lighter than normal period.
So if you want 100% surety get a pregnancy test done.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama.

Thanks. I am really sorry to bother you. Just one last question. I should probably have mentioned that she received her period at around the time she expected to receive it, so does this confirm that it was period and not breakthrough bleeding? Thanks

Breakthrough bleeding Also occurs around the timeof period.

If she gets her period next month does that confirm she is not pregnant or could that still be breakthrough bleeding?
Brief Answer:
Details below.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If she has normal bleeding in the next period it almost confirms that she is not pregnant.
Rarely Breakthrough bleeding can occur in the first two months of pregnancy.
That is the reason I suggested a pregnancy test.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama.
