Question: if a an OBGYN/ONCOLOGYST says he sees "foci" in you when he is doing just a visual pelvic exam but he says you don't have cancer, what does that mean?
Brief Answer:
foci means different groups of cervical cell from normal cervical cell.
Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am,
Thanks for trusting hcm about your health care.
I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.
Foci means group of different cervical cells from normal cervical cell but they are not canerous in your case because you had LEEP procedure in the past and biopsy was done and pap smear results was negative.
That's why your doctor said you had foci but no cancer.
Hope found useful, feel free to discuss more information.
Good luck.
