What Does "residual Tumor" In An MRI Report Indicate?
Tumor has been completely removed.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for getting back.
I have noted the MRI report.
The pituitary tumor (prolactinoma) has been completely removed, and there is residual tumor left, as per the report.
In addiiton, pituitary gland is also not seen, which could happen as it may also have been removed/damaged during the surgery. This means that your dad may require hormones replacement (thyroid and steroids) for long term period.
Also, he has minor ischemic (lack of blood supply to brain) changes, which is not something to worry about.
I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.
Wishing you good health,

The reports are within normal limits.
Residual tumor means if a part of tumor is not removed. However, in this case, there is no residual tumor. This means, the tumor has been completely removed.
The medicines can be continued as before, and no extra treatment is necessary.
There is no threat to life.
I agree with the radiologist.
Best wishes,

There is no residual tumor.

Thank you for getting back.
Sorry for the confusion, what I meant is that there is no tumor left. If you see the first line, I mentioned that the pituitary tumor has been completely removed.
So, please relax, and be happy that the entire tumor is removed, and no part of tumor is seen now, and your father has got completely cured from brain tumor.

pls find his blood count report as well.the doc has prescribed strocit 500 mg twice. its for what? why they prescribed this
Strocit improves the blood flow of brain.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.
Strocit (citicholine) improves the blood supply of brain. As I mentioned in my first reply, the blood supply of brain is slightly reduced.
Blood reports are fine.
