Drooling, Headache, Nausea. Should I Get A CT Scan?

Hi, I have been drooling at night and today, felt a headache begin again towards the top left, back of my head.. dull pain, then more intense... It s now still just a dull ache... There is a bump there that I don t remember being there, so I freaked out and started researching brain tumors... Signs Were headaches and nausea which I felt after I read the artcle and got up... And also seizures, which I remember I had one in college but didn t think anything... My leg slammed back down... Then iAlso then remembered that I had hit my head twice. the first time on a open laundry door and the second time on a open cabinet drawer... really hard both times getting up...at what I now remember is the spot that hurts... I don t have insurance, should I go to the hospital to ask for a cat scan to make sure all is ok?

Hi,

For further detailed information, may I know your age please? Since you have a history of drooling since yesterday, it is necessary to look for the power of facial muscles. I would also like to get a detailed clinical (neurological) examination done to look for the power and sensory system of upper and lower limbs and the cranial nerve functions.

You have an associated headache with a history suggestive of seizures and trauma to the head, it is essential to take a CT scan of the head to rule out any ischemic or hemorrhagic events or space occupying lesions.

I would advice you to consult an Emergency physician or a Neurologist at the earliest who can carry out a detailed clinical examination and the appropriate imaging modality to arrive at a diagnosis. Early CT scan and early treatment improves the outcome in cerebrovascular accidents.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
