What Does "small Bilateral Inguinal Infra-centrimetric Adenopathies " Mean?
Question: Hi, my mother had a stage III colon cancer discovered in XXXXXXX this year. She had radio and chemo therapy before surgery and then 6 more chemo therapy sessions (in total, 6 months of chemo treatment). On her last blood test (1 and a half month after finishing chemo) the tumor markers are in the normal range, while the liver enzymes, alkalyne phosphatase is 119, while the GGT is 101; by reading her RMI (for lower abdomen) shows everything clear instead of "small bilateral inguinal infra-centrimetric adenopathies " and "no tumor masses in the pelvis". While waiting for her CT and her visiting her doctor, can you please give us your opinion?
Many thanks

Brief Answer:
Sub centimetre lymph node can be a normal finding
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through the details you have provided.
I have One query
What Is RMI?
I assumed it is a typo error and you meant MRI of lower abdomen.
In that case it does not show recurrence/ spread. Sub-centimetre lymph nodes can be a normal finding and is not a cause for worry.(especially since the Tumor markers are normal)
I would wait for the CT report to take a final call in saying that there is no recurrence till date.
Hope this helps
