Brief Answer:
Sore throat due to STD or nonSTD organisms to be ruled out.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
External cleanliness of the individual does not assure a microbial clearance. Normally genitals have more microbial flora than that of skin elsewhere. Some may be pathogenic and some may not. It could be STD or non STD organisms. Even in the absence of symptoms also one can have viral shedding or bacteria. This could cause mild sore throat which is not necessarily a STD organism. If the symptoms are persistent meet your physician and get well with a course antibiotic. Sometimes a culture and sensitivity of organism may need from a throat swab to find out the organism about which your physician will decide. HIV risk through oral sex is low as per CDC, XXXXXXX USA.
