What Does Stinging Feeling During Urination After The Use Of Dettol Indicate?

Question: Hello I used Dettol on my penis head a few hours back..now i am having stinging feeling while I pee..i wasn't having this problem before..also I took bath immediately after apply applying and because of this feeling have washed my penis head with cold water..will it persists please help

I can understand your concern.

It might be hurting .

I would suggest you to
- Apply ice - this will reduce the pain
- I would start Dressin ointment and also Ciprofloxacin ointment
You need regular dressing and antibiotic ointment.

Do not worry much.
The stinging feeling will go, what might persist is a discolouration caused by the Dettol burn.

Visit a surgeon. He/she can examine you and correlate clinically.

thank you for your suggestion..also I noticed on the urethral opening small blister like thing happened..i asked father so he asked me to apply oil for now which I did as it is night time and I cant get medication that blister thing sort of bursted after that white sticky fluid came out ( m a bit sure it wasn't smega) was this caused due to burn from dettol only?!

and also doctor will it cause any problem during protected intercourse say after a few weeks?

yes it was due to burn only.

Do not worry. It needs proper dressing and antibiotic ointment application.

The blister was due to the dettol burn. I would suggest you not to apply any oil. Refrain from sex for a few weeks.

Visit a surgeon or any local physician for careful evaluation of this wound. Until then over the counter antiseptic cream/ointment will be helpful.
