What Does The TSH Level Indicate When Diagnosed With Toxic Diffuse Goiter?

Question: i was diagnosed with Graves' disease several years ago. I also have a toxic diffuse goiter. i have been feeling very bad for the past month. I recently had my TSH levels checked and it is 0.49, it was 0.457 6 months ago.

I read your question and i understand your question. How ever it would have been better if you could explain what happened during those few years once you were diagnosed as Grave's disease. WHat did you do to get back to euthyroid state.

As far as this TSH levels are concerned, these are normal or i would say in lower reference range borderline of normal but normal . 0.5 is th elowest limit of normal. So you are almost there.

You need to have reguar thyroid follow ups tests to have an eye on these levels. I believe you have undergone 18 months of anti thyroid medications and have lso tried some ablative techniques like iodine 131 etc.

Please consult your endocrinologist in case of any further assistance and let them clinically correlate these current TSH values for better management.
