Question: Hello,
I made a trip earlier to the E.R. because I have been feeling ill, I have been feeling dizzy. they did an chest X-ray and a ct-scan of my brain, following an EKG,a blood test, and a urinalysis. I was discharged and was told that everything was fine. my chest X-ray was normal and my ct-scan was normal, the nurse that discharged me said everything was good besides my cholestorol. They gave me a copy of my complete CBC and I have a couple of questions? They claim everything is fine however, my WBC count was 12.3 instead of 4.5 to 11.0 which is slightly high. My MCHC is 31.4 instead of 32.0 to 36.0 which is low. My LYMPH % was 11.3 instead of 24.0 to 44.0 which is low. My GRAN is 10.0 instead of 1.4 to 9.1 which is high and my ANION GAP was 18 instead of 5 to 15 which is high. I read the paper and it has categories such as High, Low, Abnormal, and Error. Does this seem bad? The docs didnt seem concerned I just want to make sure I am healthy . I will be working out of state for the next 2 weeks in a remote location and want to make sure I am healthy to do so.

Brief Answer:
Values are not be concerned.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir.

I understand your query and concern.

The values which your mentioned are definitely not well within the normal limits.

But having said that, these are not be worried about,as normal lab variants are possible.

I advice you to have a repeat testing all these parameters after 2 weeks.

Currently these values are definitely not an hinderance to your remote location out of state work.

You are enough healthy to work in that environment.

Thank you.
