Brief Answer:
Mega platelets may be due to vitamin B12 or folate deficiency.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Sometimes mega platelets can cause false low platelet count as large platelets may not be counted by machine.
So,you may need peripheral smear count. If peripheral smear platelet count is still low, then it may be due to vitamin B12 or folate deficiency. You may need assessment of these factors.
If it is ruled out then few disorders related to excess platelet destruction or reduced platelet production should be considered.
Bone marrow examination can be done if needed.

It is good that other factors related to blood are normal.
You may need evaluation by a hematologist.

WBC count is towards lower limit and it is not concerning.
It is good that HIV tests are negative.

Sir, I have a doubt that my wbc counts are low and this could be due to hiv. Sir, do I need to do the test again. The hiv test they have done is of cmia type which they say is pretty accurate. And I had unprotected sex about six months ago. Sir, what do you suggest.

There are almost no chance of false negative HIV report.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

There are almost no chance of false negative HIV report.Tests are highly sensitive and specific.
As you had exposure 6 months back, tests must been positive if you have had the disease. After 12 weeks, tests are highly specific.
