What Does The Following Pregnancy Test Report Indicate?
Question: Hello Doctor
my wife has done the triple marker test for pregnancy.
the details are:
trisomy 21 is 1:7595(risk cut off 1:250)
trisomy 18 is <1:10000 (risk cut off 1:100)
neural tube defect screening 1:689(risk cut off 1:50)
my wife weighs 71.5kgs
height is 159cms.
age is 35 yrs
LMP 2/9/2016 (2nd September 2016)
I would like to know if she runs a risk of giving birth to a child with any birth defects. kindly suggest.

However none of the reports say with 100 percent accuracy about baby having no birth defects. Hence low risk can only be said.
