Question: Creatinine, Urine 100.7 mg/dL 22.0 - 328.0 01
Creatinine, Ur 24hr 2014.0 High mg/24 hr 1000.0 - 2000.0
Creatinine Clearance 123 mL/min 97 - 137
BUN 8 mg/dL 6 - 24
Creatinine, Serum 1.14 mg/dL 0.76 - 1
BUN/Creatinine Ratio 7 Low 9 - 20
eGFR If NonAfricn Am 77 mL/min/1.73 >59

I am concerned about these levels. I know Creatinine, Ur is High, but is this ok even with the other results which one is more accurate and better the Creatinine Clearence or GFR? I have been reading the Creatinine Clearance is more accurate.

Brief Answer:
eGFR not accurate

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

eGFR is not an accurate method of estimating GFR. Creatinine clearance is a better marker of GFR than eGFR.

Here is how you should go about it

1. I would like you to repeat your creat after 2 weeks after properly hydrating yourself
2. Get a urine routine and ultrasound abdomen as well this time. Urine routine is a good marker of how the kidneys are functioning. USG will tell us about the size of your kidneys and also the cortex of the kidney

I don't think you need to be worried about your kidney function as of now.

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
