What Does The Following Thyroid Profile Results Indicate?

Question: Hello I am XXXX, I having Thyroid problem since 14 years .now I am taking thyronam 150 mcg. Yearly once I Check my Thyroid level. Now I checked it and the result I uploaded.Could you please suggest me whether to continue the same dosage (150,cg)or chnage it. If change need how much?

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,

Welcome to HCM

Your thyroid function is not controlled now. Once on treatment your TSH has to be below 4 miu/ml - your value is 11. That means you are under replaced with Thyronorm.

Your T3 and T4 is also on the lower half of normal range.

If you were regular with medications, now you have to increase the Thyronorm dose. Usually we increase the dose to 175 mcg per day- morning empty stomach.

You can repeat the blood test after 2 months to make sure your TSH is normal.
