Brief Answer:
Thyroid functions are normal, borderline elevated antibodies

Detailed Answer:
Hi Quesera,

Welcome to HCM. I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

I explain your reports

1. Thyroid function tests

T3, T4 are the thyroid hormones and TSH is the thyroid stimulating hormone - all are within normal limits. That means your thyroid is functioning normally and no treatment is needed for this reports.

2. Thyroid antibodies:

These antibodies if elevated can be a cause of decreased thyroid function (Hashimoto's thyroid disease). At present the thyroid is functioning normally. But these antibodies which are elevated can decrease your thyroid function in future.

These antibodies are only mildly elevated in your case. So the chance of developing hypothyroidism is very less. There is no treatment needed for positive (elevated) antibodies. You just need to monitor your thyroid function periodically - every 6-12 months.

3. Thyroid nodule

You have a fairly large nodule in thyroid. The investigations needed for a thyroid nodule are ultrasound scan of thyroid and FNAC (which is a needle test from thyroid). If the reports are normal - we can follow up every 6-12 months with ultrasound neck to see if the nodule is increasing in size. If results are abnormal - surgery (thyroid removal) is needed.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
