Question: Light postmenopausal bleeding. Recent ultrasound results:
"The endometrial canal echo complex is 6.9 mm in thickness. There are small cystic regions interspersed in the endometrial canal echo complex. Ovaries are within normal limits in appearance." Am waiting for results from endometrial biopsy. What is the likelihood of cancer vs other less serious conditions?

Though endometrial thickness more than 5mm in a postmenopausal lady mandates endometrial biopsy, the chances of malignancy is less than 10%.
